Intelligent Platform Management Controller (IPMC)

Crossfield's IPMC for VPX systems is designed to align with the latest Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA), Hardware Open Systems Technology (HOST), and VITA 46.11-2022 Tier 3 standards. The IPMC is designed to be portable and upgradeable and runs the FreeRTOS real-time operating system. Additionally, Crossfield provides IPMCgen™ to make the IPMC configurable for new plug-in cards from a graphical interface rather than having to make modifications to source code. Version 2.0 is available now!
Chassis Manager (ChM) & Chassis Management Controller (ChMC)

Crossfield's new Chassis Manager (ChM) and Chassis Management Controller (ChMC) are designed to align with the latest Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA), Hardware Open Systems Technology (HOST), and VITA 46.11-2022 Tier 3 standards. The ChM and ChMC run simultaneously on the Microchip PolarFire SoC, with the ChM running under Linux on three of the 64-bit RISC-V cores and the ChMC running on a single 64-bit RISC-V core.
The Chassis Manager application runs on most Linux operating systems and can be cross-compiled to run on most processor architectures. The ChMC can be integrated with the ChM on the PolarFire SoC or run separately on a SmartFusion2 SoC for two-chip solutions.
Crossfield provides ChMgen™, a web-based GUI, to make the ChM configurable for new Hardware Management Controllers (HMCs)/Chassis Management Modules (ChMMs). Users can graphically configure things like the firewall, Platform Event Filter, Chassis FRU Information, and HMC/ChMM FRU information without having to make modifications to source code.
