Crossfield Technology can assist you at any point in the product development cycle, starting from a paper napkin concept, to prototype, to subsystem development, to fabrication and test. Most engagements begin at the concept development or prototyping stage in which the integration of many technologies, such as integrated circuit development, printed circuit board development, RF design, power supply design, and firmware development must be specified and harmonized between the different product functions.

In some instances the veracity of the concept itself must be validated. Crossfield is adept at either proving or disproving product concepts using mathematical design techniques, simulation, and if warranted or cost effective, the design and fabrication of prototypes. These techniques are especially effective for start-up companies that need to move from powerpoint concepts to initial prototypes and engineering backup for their product concepts.

Crossfield can bring a diverse range of technologies to realize your product concept. In addition to standard semiconductor technology, we can apply wide bandgap semiconductors, MEMS, carbon nanotube, and emerging concepts such as organic semiconductors. We can reinvigorate a mature product and extend its life with new functionality using emerging technologies. We work with many partners including universities, foundries, contract manufacturers, test facilities, and packaging companies.
