Crossfield Technology offers wireless instrumentation products, along with services to adapt those products to a customer's specific application.Our wireless instrumentation platforms, modules and adapters are based on Freescale Semiconductor's microcontrollers and IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee™ compliant radios and are compatible with Freescale's BeeKit Wireless Connectivity Tookit.
Crossfield offers an embedded 'C' software framework for basic functions resident on the microcontroller and a platform-independent Java framework for control, analysis and display functions resident on a host computer. The frameworks provide packet-based communications between the host and wireless device using Freescale's Simple MAC protocol suite, adapted to Crossfield's line of products.
These development kits enable the rapid implementation of wireless instrumentation, sensors and controllers in low-power, battery-operated applications.
The Wireless Instrumentation Platform and USB-Wireless Adapter also provide USB connectivity, and both can function as a wireless basestation for other wireless instruments and modules.
