Crossfield’s instrumentation
includes Power Over Ethernet (PoE) using 1 Gigabit and
10 Gigabit Ethernet links. Many of the instrumentation
systems include a central wireless Gateway to collect
information and a high speed Ethernet link to take the
data to a distant control center. This technique is
used in many custom instrumentation systems as well as
SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition)
systems.
